These willows are planted live into pots in the winter.  As spring approaches they start to grow leaves all over the frame, this growth can be continually trimmed throughout the growing season to create your own shape.  You must always leave some leaf on each rod.

 

Willows grow prolifically so the following winter all annual growth can be cut away leaving the original frame.  It’s then time to replant the sculpture into the ground or into a bigger pot. The willow frame with then continue to thicken up with each trimming and after four to five years will graft together to grow as one solid live willow sculpture.
